Meet Mrs. Mechainmar Zokruah-Blama, the visionary behind Nubian Queens, a non-profit organization established in 2016 in Columbus, OH. As the founder and board chair, she leads a diverse group of women committed to making a positive impact in our community and lending a helping hand to those in need. With a global outlook, Nubian Queens collaborates with other organizations to enhance the lives of women and children worldwide.
Mrs. Zokruah-Blama is happily married to her supportive husband, Mawoloyan Blama, and together they are blessed with five beautiful children. Originally from Liberia, she migrated to the United States at the age of 13, bringing with her a rich cultural heritage. Currently employed as a nurse and phlebotomist at Ohiohealth Riverside Hospital, she serves her patients with dedication and compassion.
Deeply connected to her Liberian roots, Mrs. Zokruah-Blama's parents, who are both of Liberian descent, hold a special place in her heart. While they reside in the United States, her mother originates from Grand Bassa, and her father hails from Bong County.
In addition to her professional pursuits, Mrs. Zokruah-Blama actively contributes to her community through Passionate Hands Give Back Inc. This organization allows her to give back not only locally but also in Liberia. Her remarkable journey is an inspiration to those who know her, demonstrating the transformative power of hard work, unwavering dedication, and boundless compassion
